Privacy Policy

§1 Definitions

  1. Administrator – Michał Balicki.
  2. User – any entity staying on the website and using it.
  3. Website – website located at: embeddedmike.com.
  4. Mailing – a free service provided electronically by the Administrator to the User by sending electronic letters through which the Administrator sends information content.
  5. Newsletter – a place on the Website enabling the User to enter personal data for the purposes indicated therein, e.g. for sending mailings.
  6. GDPR – Regulation EU 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

§2 General provisions

  1. This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for the processing of personal data by the website embeddedmike.com.
  2. The administrator of the website, and at the same time the administrator of personal data of people using the website, is Michał Balicki. Contact with the administrator is possible at contact.embeddedmike@gmail.com.
  3. The privacy policy is the fulfillment of the obligation required by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
  4. Providing data is voluntary. Failure to provide this means that some of the services and actions expected by the User cannot be performed.

§3 Purposes and methods of processing personal data

  1. The website processes the User's personal data for the following purposes:
    1. Sending Mailings – pursuant to Art. 6 section 1 letter a GDPR, i.e. the User's consent granted just before signing up for Mailing, and for the purpose of direct marketing addressed to Users, pursuant to Art. 6 section 1 letter f GDPR, i.e. the legitimate interest of the Administrator.
    2. Website analytics – pursuant to Art. 6 section 1 letter f GDPR, i.e. the legitimate interest of the Administrator in analyzing website traffic and optimizing its performance (Google Analytics).

§4 Entrusting personal data to third parties

  1. Personal data is entrusted to the following entities whose services are used by the Administrator to run the Website and ensure its basic functionalities:
    1. MailChimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA) – for Mailing and Newsletter services.
    2. Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) – for the Google Analytics service. Data may be transferred to the USA based on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

§5 User Rights

  1. The user may at any time:
    1. Submit a request for access to their personal data.
    2. Request rectification, restriction of processing, cessation of processing and deletion of their personal data.

§6 Cookies

  1. The website uses cookies to analyze website traffic via Google Analytics.
  2. Cookies are small text files saved on the User's device. They do not contain personal data that would allow identification of the User by name.
  3. The User may disable cookies in their browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some functionalities of the Website.

§7 Data retention

  1. Personal data is stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, or for the period required by law.
  2. Data processed for Mailing purposes is stored until the User withdraws their consent.
  3. Data collected by Google Analytics is stored in accordance with Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
