Electrical Installations

Electrical Installations – Services

I provide electrical installation services for apartments, houses and commercial spaces in Kraków and surrounding areas. I also perform electrical measurements and safety inspections of low-voltage installations. Measurement-related services can also be carried out outside the Małopolska region. All work is performed in accordance with current standards and safety regulations. Because I also work in the IT industry, I am usually available in the afternoons on working days. I am more flexible on weekends and can also take on projects then.

Qualifications and certifications

I hold SEP qualifications for work on electrical installations up to 1kV in both operation and supervision categories:

Below is a summary of my qualifications:

  • MSc Eng. in Electronics – Wrocław University of Science and Technology
  • Vocational Training Center No. 1 in Kraków – electrician vocational qualification (confirmed by a state examination)
  • SEP E & D qualifications up to 1kV
  • Electrical installation measurements
  • Experience in electronics and embedded software development (C++ specialization)

Cooperation rules

To ensure smooth execution of projects and clear cooperation terms, the following rules apply:

  • The scope of work is agreed before the project starts. I provide a cost estimate for approval.
  • For more complex work, a prior inspection of the installation may be required.
  • The final price may depend on the actual condition of the installation and the scope of work.
  • All work is carried out in accordance with safety rules and good electrical installation practice.
  • After the work is completed, the workplace is left clean and organized.
  • In urgent situations, I try to provide assistance as quickly as possible, subject to availability.
  • For typical electrical services in residential premises, such as new installations or modernization, 8% VAT is added to the net price if the work concerns residential property.
  • For electrical measurement services, 23% VAT is added to the net price.
  • I accept electronic payments only – BLIK, transfer to phone, card payment or instant bank transfer.

How the service process works

Cooperation usually follows a few simple steps:

  • 1. Contact and initial discussion – you describe what you need, and I make an initial assessment of the scope of work. You can contact me by phone or email:
    phone: +48 511 829 259
    email: contact.embeddedmike@gmail.com
  • 2. Inspection and quotation – if needed, I inspect the installation on site and prepare a cost estimate.
  • 3. Execution – once the scope and quotation are accepted, I carry out the agreed work.

New electrical installations in houses and apartments

I carry out complete electrical installations in new residential buildings and commercial spaces.

  • grounding installation
  • planning the layout of electrical points
  • drilling and installation of electrical boxes
  • cable routing
  • circuit division and distribution board installation
  • measurements and installation acceptance

For projects of this type, we sign an agreement with a cost estimate attached. Each of the stages listed above results in an invoice and payment. Once payment is completed, we move on to the next stage. The quotation is individual and depends on the number of electrical points in the installation.

Modernization, replacement and extension of existing installations

I modernize older electrical installations and adapt them to current user needs and safety requirements.

  • replacement of old wiring
  • replacement of electrical accessories
  • extension of existing circuits
  • distribution board modernization

Pricing here is individual. For projects that may take, for example, 2–3 days, I send a cost estimate for approval including approximate labour and material costs. If wall chasing and concealed cable routing are required, it must be agreed in advance to what extent the grooves are expected to be covered. I usually use gypsum adhesive spotwise so that the cable remains stable. If the groove is expected to be primed and heavily covered with gypsum adhesive, this must be stated at the very beginning so that I can include it in the quotation. Final aesthetic finishing of the grooved wall area remains the responsibility of the client.

Earthing and ground resistivity measurement

Before installing an earthing system, I carry out a ground resistivity measurement to assess what type of earth electrode is suitable for the given location and what resistance value can realistically be achieved. This is a key planning step — the measurement result determines the way in which the earthing system will be constructed.

  • ground resistivity measurement
  • selection of electrode type and parameters based on measurement results
  • installation of vertical and ring earth electrodes
  • installation of foundation earth electrodes
  • earth resistance measurement after completion of works

Pricing is individual and depends on soil conditions, the required resistance value and the scope of work. Material and labour costs are included in the quotation.

Installation of sockets, lighting, switchboards and protection devices

I install electrical components in both new and existing installations.

  • installation of sockets and switches
  • installation of lighting fixtures
  • installation of distribution boards
  • installation of protection devices and residual current devices

Troubleshooting, measurements and minor modifications

I diagnose electrical installation problems and repair common faults.

  • power loss diagnostics
  • repair of damaged circuits
  • minor installation modifications
  • basic electrical measurements

Emergency support after hours

In urgent situations, I also offer support outside standard working hours, subject to availability. I am also available on weekends and public holidays.

Low-voltage electrical installation safety inspection

I perform inspections and electrical measurements in order to assess the technical condition and operational safety of installations as part of acceptance and periodic inspections.

  • visual inspection of the electrical installation
  • electrical measurements (earth resistance, continuity of protective and equipotential conductors, insulation resistance, fault loop impedance, RCD tripping time and current)
  • preparation of measurement documentation

Here, pricing is mainly based on the number of points to be measured. In addition, the inspection and preparation of the report are included in the final quotation. It is necessary to provide a floor plan of the apartment or building once you decide to proceed. Information about the network system will also be needed. If that information cannot be obtained, it will be necessary to identify the electricity supplier so that an email request can be made to determine the system type. For some measurements and inspections, it may be necessary to remove lighting fixtures, switches and sockets. After the measurements are completed, a formal report is issued. Payment for the service is made when the report is delivered. If any defects are found, their repair is quoted separately. For larger single-family houses, the service may take around 10–12 hours and may also continue the following day.

Electrical measurement cost calculator

Use the calculator below to estimate the cost of an electrical installation inspection. Enter the number of points for each type and the calculator will compute the approximate net and gross price (23% VAT). Rates are indicative and may vary depending on on-site conditions. A multiple socket outlet (e.g. double or triple) is counted as a single measurement point.
